Installation and servicing of the DTCO 4.1 family of second-generation, version 2 smart tachographs. Before an update, we check the device version and its software.

DTCO and Smart 1
Calibration, periodic inspections and diagnostics for earlier VDO digital tachographs. When replacing a device, we select the new tachograph and installation components for the vehicle.

Analogue VDO/Kienzle
Periodic inspections, repairs and help with using chart-based tachographs. The repair options for an older model depend on its condition and parts availability.
We check the version before updating.
A software update does not replace inspection and calibration. For DTCO tachographs, we select the update according to the identified device version and the manufacturer's recommendations.

We can select and install VDO Smart 2 after checking the specific vehicle. We verify compatibility of the device, sensor, wiring and other installation components. Activation and calibration are also agreed as part of the work.
No. An update changes the software, while calibration and periodic inspection concern the device and how it works with the vehicle. We agree the scope of the visit after checking the tachograph version, documentation and reported issue.
Provide the tachograph model, vehicle make and year, and the exact message on the display or printout. Explain when the fault occurs and whether any repairs, updates or installation component replacements were carried out previously.
